Mindfulness Meditation

The Mindfulness Program is offered with varying start dates throughout the year.  All Mindfulness Programs are conducted by Dr. Adam Bletsoe and consist of learning meditation techniques and mindfulness skills used in daily life.  Sessions meet in small groups (12-20 people) for 2 hours a week over 12 weeks.  During that time you will be gently guided through the process in a way where you will experience and learn from it.

Attendees learn the importance of living in the moment, and how this relates to suffering less pain, improving resilience to stress and improving results in their lives.  Mindfulness assists in remaining calmer and more controlled despite the challenges of everyday life, such as when interacting with family, friends, colleagues, employers and others.  This can change the intensity of stress and pain, both emotional and physical, in a very positive way.  Consistent attendance is required to remain in the course (missing more than two classes will strongly hinder your results).

ABOUT THE SESSIONS

Classes typically run for 2 hours with a 10 minute break in the middle.  We facilitate an open, honest, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.  We try to accommodate as many special needs as we can during class.  Space permitting, you are welcome to bring your own chair, pillow or other assistive device which will make the class experience as comfortable as possible.  Animal assistants are welcome.
